For Him, For Me, For All

"When my son was diagnosed with celiac disease, my world changed overnight. His smile and happiness became my priority, and fighting for his health became my mission. Every obstacle was a challenge I was determined to overcome, and every new piece of information about celiac disease became a tool in our journey together.

But while I devoted myself to protecting his rights and supporting his daily life, something unexpected happened. At the age of forty, in the midst of fighting for him, I discovered that this fight was also about me. Celiac disease was no longer just his condition – it was a reality I had long ignored in myself. I realised that caring for my child could also reflect the state of my own body and spirit.

In advocating for his rights, I began to recognise the signs within myself and learned that it’s just as important to fight for myself. That realisation opened a new chapter in my life: now I fight both for him and for myself.

Today, I am grateful for that insight. My fight for my son has become my own inner victory. And as we walk together on the path of life with celiac disease, every step carries both my strength and his."
