Susana Tavares, Board Member of the Association of European Coeliac Societies (AOECS), is participating in preparatory meetings ahead of the Digestive Health Roundtable on 5 October 2025. This roundtable is part of the annual UEG Week, taking place in Berlin from 4–7 October.
UEG Week, organised by United European Gastroenterology, is Europe’s largest and most prestigious event in digestive health, attracting around 11,000 participants from 115 countries. The event brings together clinicians, researchers, patient representatives, and industry experts to advance research, education, and care across gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
AOECS has been invited to represent the patient perspective and contribute to shaping the agenda. The roundtable will cover key topics including patient involvement in clinical trials, patient-reported outcomes, and digestive cancer care, with the aim of creating a joint Digestive Health Roundtable Manifesto.
