The purpose of this call is to showcase top success stories from national coeliac societies across the globe, both AOECS members and non-members, highlighting their key milestones and achievements in 2026, and fostering learning and collaboration.

This is an opportunity to showcase your country’s key achievements, share lessons learned, and inspire others in the global coeliac community.

All accepted stories will be compiled and published in a global PDF book, to be shared across our networks.

What are we looking for

A success story is a standout initiative, project, or action your society implemented in 2026 that made a measurable difference - whether it changed policy, improved diagnosis rates, raised awareness, or strengthened patient support.

Think of it as a story worth sharing, replicating, and celebrating!

How to apply and participate

Submit an abstract (350–400 words) by clicking on the link below.

If you are selected, please prepare:

  • A one-page poster containing the information outlined below
  • An optional video (max. 2 minutes), in your own language, explaining the project, its process, the impact on your community, and your conclusions
  • High-resolution visuals (photos, graphs, logos)
  • Your contact details

Posters must be in English and suitable for large-format printing.

Poster requirements

AOECS will provide the template once you have submitted your expression of interest.

  • Format: PDF (A4 size)
  • Title: Country Name + “Success Story 2026”

Sections to include:

    1. Country overview (population, coeliac prevalence, diagnosis rate, key challenges)
    2. Key success/initiative in 2026
    3. Timeline of key milestones
    4. Outcomes and impact: focus on actions taken, impact achieved, and challenges overcome
    5. Photos, logos, graphs, or other visuals (optional but encouraged; please send separately to avoid loss of quality)

Application deadline

Deadline for submission is June 30, 2026. After you have submitted your application, we will contact you to inform you whether your contribution has been accepted.

Key dates:

  • 30 June 2026: Abstract Submission Deadline
  • 1 September 2026: Materials deadline in proper format and video recording
  • 8 October 2026: Annual Conference, Amsterdam
  • December 2026: PDF Book Launch

  • The content is accurate and approved by all authors.
  • You consent to publication in the AOECS Success Stories Book and on our website.
  • You grant AOECS the right to share and distribute your content through social media and other channels.
  • The presenting author is responsible for all communications and updates.
  • Late or incomplete submissions may be excluded.
